The doomben Railway line in the east to Kidson Street in the west is one of the best races track from the country! Quite aptly since there are two racecourses here, Ascot is named after the famous race track in England. The area has been settled from 1855 and was primarily an agricultural area. In 1863 the Eagle Racecourse was established followed by the Doomben Racecourse in 1933.
